Choosing where to continue your studies for your future career requires careful consideration. Maybe you are undecided about whether to stay on at school after your GCSE’s, or to go to a Further Education college like the specialist Leicester College of Performing Arts (LCPA).
If you want to have a career in performing arts, you may leave school at 16 at the end of Year 11, and apply for a full time college course where you can specialise in performing arts. Courses at LCPA will develop your talents in singing, acting and dance through contemporary musical theatre. At LCPA you can learn all that is required to become a professional performer and also have the added security of achieving nationally recognised qualifications provided by our partnership with Regent College, Leicester and Trinity College, London.
The BTEC qualification we offer is a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts which is the equivalent to three A Levels. The Trinity qualification is a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre which gives you the opportunity to extend the Diploma to a BA (Hons) whilst carrying on your professional activities.
