Gill Hawkes

Visiting Accompanist & Vocal Coach

Gill holds a BA (hons) in French and Music from Queens University, Belfast; an LTCL in teaching and an ATCL in Recital Singing from the Trinity College London and a PGCE.

As a singer, Gill has performed in vocal ensembles of all sizes and styles from renaissance choirs to a 60’s style girl group, and as a soloist she has sung works such as Mozart’s epic Requiem.

As a pianist and conductor, Gill has worked extensively as a musical director, accompanist, rehearsal pianist, pit musician and répétiteur in both musical theatre and opera.

Gill is an expert in ensemble singing and is also the director of Cosford Military Wives’ Choir.
